Re: Rock AND Roll |
LS I don't know how old you are but I to have a similar experience w/ gear but not as tactile as you. When in S.F. I worked for a band whose bass player was a carbon of Phil and his gear also came up to those standards. His rig was an Alembic birds eye maple 6 string stereo.Cabinets also Alembic w/ both JBL and Gauss 15s.Amp was a Mac 2100 w/ an Alembic/Furman pre w/ an Echoplex,Moreley volume pedal and some other foot gear.He went on to be Robert Hunter's bass player.

Re: Rock AND Roll |
first show at 18, NYE 1980...you can do the math...marginally old.
I keep trying to convince my wife that we need to get a second mortgage so I can replace all my PA and bass gear with Meyer Sound stuff. No dice! I've even got connections so I could get a great deal..but even a great deal on Meyer gear is still out of my reach.
